Yasmin Elayat

New media artist, experience designer, and creative technologist working at the intersection of art and technology.

Yasmin is Co-Founder & Creative Director at Scatter an award-winning immersive media studio pioneering a novel approach to VR storytelling called volumetric filmmaking. Yasmin’s work pushes the boundaries of immersive narrative and participatory experiences where storytelling and technology collide. Her work spans new media documentaries, immersive experiences and site-specific installations.

Yasmin directed Zero Days VR an award-winning immersive documentary about cyber warfare and the Stuxnet virus, which made its World Premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Yasmin is the co-creator of 18DaysInEgypt: A Collaborative Web-Documentary Project about the Egyptian Revolution which was named one the Moments of Innovation in Participatory Documentary by MIT Open Documentary Lab & IDFA DocLab.
