Interactive design studio researching the social effects of technology.

Moniker is an Amsterdam based interactive design studio founded in 2012 by Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey and Roel Wouters. Moniker, which means nickname or pseudonym, works on commissioned design projects while also investing in projects of an autonomous and experimental nature.

The studio works across various media for a diverse range of clients, from those in the cultural field to commercial companies. They explore the social effects of technology – how it is used and how it influences daily life. Often, Moniker will ask the public to participate in the development of its projects. The resulting work expands and grows like plants, displaying their inner organisational process.

Moniker’s unique audience experiment, Red Follows Yellow Follows Blue Follows Red, was performed at the DocLab Live: Seamless Reality program.
