The Final Days of Standing Rock

Follow Lakota Tammy Howard in the last days of the 2016 protests against the construction of an oil pipeline at Standing Rock Reservation.

In the fall of 2016, thousands of Sioux and their supporters gathered in the Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota, to protest against the construction of the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline. The Sioux fear that the pipeline will pollute their source of drinking water from the Canon Ball River. Furthermore, the pipeline crosses sacred historical sites. In early 2017, a small group of water protectors is still holding ground. Until the army comes in and begins to clear the reservation. In this interactive web-documentary, we follow Lakota Tammy Howard in the last days of protest.
