Project Adrift

Adrift engages with the mysteries and contradictions of space junk.

Project Adrift reveals the hidden world of space junk in a three-part experience, comprising: WATCH: a short documentary film ‘Adrift’; ADOPT; a spacebot interactive enabling audiences to ‘adopt’ one of three individual pieces of junk which communicate with audiences live from space via Twitter as they circle Earth and LISTEN: a mechanical sound instrument ‘Machine 9’ that transforms the movement of 27,000 tracked pieces of space debris into sound in real time.
