The Museum of Stolen Art

The Museum of Stolen art is a virtual space for art that has been stolen or looted. It is an Oculus Rift experience where one can enjoy artwork that is otherwise hidden.

The museum’s goal is to engage the public in culturally significant items that are in danger of disappearance. It serves as a photo array for a crime mystery, and a tool for learning more about the circumstances in which art is being stolen, looted, or destroyed. The visitors are encouraged to keep a lookout and report to the authorities if they encounter a stolen piece in real life.

Experience The Museum of Stolen Art in virtual reality using Google Cardboard by downloading the Android app.
