From the Factories

This is a research-creative project, a hypervideo web-site (in sum 330mins of video) with embedded transcription that renders multiple narratives.

This project shows how artists/designers live and work in Kwun Tong area (used to be an industrial town) in Hong Kong when facing the threatening Government policy of “revitalization”. The project vividly presents 25 artists working on various media. Audiences interact with the transcription and the visually highlighted keywords so to decide their own trajectories to experience both individual artists/studio, and the creative cluster/community as a whole. The chosen keywords are objective analysis of the research as well as subjective emotion sharing.
