“Synapse (from Greek. syn = together; haptein = to touch, to clasp; thus a connection) designates a functional contact zone established between two neurons, or between a neuron and another cell.

Among the hundred some hours of amateur images that we harvested for When I Will Be Dictator, there were too many to make one film from, however, this overflow was perfect for creating another project, a visual labyrinth in the form of a web experience. Thanks to this ‘overflow’ the desire was born to bring this precious material back into the limelight by rediscovering something new reinvented day to day by internet users. That these moments stolen from the dust, from oblivion and trash bins become an eternal present…

SYNAPS offers you a voyage into the brain, along the synapses and tree-like branches of the Memory Arborescence. In navigating the themes of the Memory, you will be able to regain lost memories in the form of Super 8 scenes. By combining these scenes together, you can recall a memory, associate it with music, give it a name and share it with others…
