New Award for Digital Documentary Storytellers

Introducing the IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Documentary Storytelling, sponsored by Canon.

IDFA presents a new documentary award: the IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling. The prize is awarded to the DocLab project that uses digital technology in the most creative and effective way to tell a documentary story. Out of the IDFA DocLab 2010 selection, the jury nominated three projects:

HIGHRISE/Out My Window
Soul Patron

The award, consisting of a certificate and a Canon 5D Mk II camera, provided by Canon, will be given to the winning project during the IDFA Award Ceremony on Friday 26 November.

The jury for the 1st IDFA DocLab Award consists of three outstanding experts in the field of new media and digital storytelling: Alexandre Brachet (Upian, France), Antoinette Hoes (Leylines, the Netherlands) and Zach Wise (New York Times, USA).
