The last day of IDFA is upon us, and with it, the closure of our home away from home: the DocLab Lounge. This year’s DocLab program succeeded in raising the bar on the presentation of web and cross-media documentaries in a traditional film festival setting. Like I said in my DocLab Highlights post on SubmarineChannel, we saw a spectacular array of live screenings, events and presentations – taking us from the shocking to the poignant, via the giggle-inducing, to the downright genius, with generous helpings of inspiration around new possibilities and emerging techniques for this flourishing genre (see pic above of the test shots with the Yellowbird 360* camera for instance). And the best part is: the whole program continues for ever more, on that crazy thing they call the INTERNET! Gotta catch them all!

Watch this space as we release more videos and interviews from DocLab2009 over the upcoming weeks and months.
