Stefano Strocchi

A producer dedicated to young and new experimental documentary projects, stories, and filmmakers.

Born in Torino, Italy in 1975, Stefano graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, in Fine Arts and Film Studies in 2001. Since then he lives in Torino, Italy, where he worked extensively on many international co-productions among which: Building the Winter Games  (Stefilm for Discovery Channel Europe), See you in My place, Italian Episode produced by Alma films for Keshet Networks (Israel), Doctor Ice a Stefilm production for ZDF/ARTE (Germany/France).

His first documentary as director titled OVERBOOKED was produced in 2007 by Stefilm in co-production with ITVS International (USA) premiered in 2008 on PBS Global Voices. In 2007 he founded MOVE productions an independent documentary production company dedicated to young new experimental documentary projects, stories and filmmakers. MOVE is producing Almost Marriedby Fatma Bucak and Segio Fergnachino in coproduction with ZENIT (Torino), Building with Renzo Piano, by Stefano Strocchi (MEDIA development fund 2008), “Men who swim together” by Dylan Williams in coproduction with AMP film and MetFilms (UK) and developing The Jewish Feast by Shelley Hermon.
