Live Cinema Event: Interactive Monuments
Live screening of two interactive documentaries from the DocLab Competition Program: Beyond 9/11 and The Zone.
Live screening of two monumental webdocumentaries from the DocLab Competition program: The Zone and Beyond 9/11. Each was made to commemorate the anniversary of a historic event and each was made by multimedia storytellers coming from the print and photography world. That said, the two projects are also as different as the events they commemorate: the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl and the attacks on the Twin Towers. On Saturday 19 November, both projects will be transformed into a live cinema event on the big screen of Tuschinski 4.
The Zone, one of the many great interactive pieces by the French newspaper Le Monde, will be presented by photographer Bruno Masi, who directed the project together with Guillaume Herbaut. The impressive multiplatform project Beyond 9/11 will be presented by Kira Pollack, the project’s director and TIME Magazine’s photography director.
